Born and raised in Winnipeg, Nathan grew up with a video camera in his back pocket. After shooting dozens of shorts, he moved to Montreal for some proper training. He discovered animation during his time there and went on to win 1st place in the National Teletoon Animation Scholarship Competition as judged by the renowned Ottawa International Film Festival jury. He finished Concordia University with a Major in Film Production, a Minor in Animation and unique hybrid style of his own.
