Martin Fisher: CEO
Two weeks after finishing school Martin moved across the country to beautiful British Columbia. He took a gig selling media at a radio station in Penticton, BC. Martin was headhunted numerous times and over ten years played a significant role in the business side of launching seven radio stations in Penticton, Kelowna, Vancouver, and Victoria.
Martin moved into production shortly after the launch of YouTube. The spark to change was driven by two motivators. First was an intense desire to travel the world, followed by a huge influx in user generated content owning headlines. When the cover of Time Magazine’s Person of the Year award went to ‘You, for User Generated Content’ Martin sensed a shift was about to happen in the way people consumed content online.
Feeling compelled to offer businesses an outlet for professional video communications with an ‘MTV-like’ flare, Martin launched On Demand Production Network. (www.odpn.ca) ODPN is now in its fifth year, with over 500 productions to its name.
A year after launching ODPN, Insider Films was born to develop music video content. Its success has been attributed to a large number of ODPN staff having backgrounds with MTV Canada and Much Music, as well as a general love for the music industry.
In 2009 Martin along with his team started developing television content.
When he’s not creating content, Martin is exploring the globe, surfing, snowboarding, slacklining, and painting.
